In addition to providing comprehensive port agency services to numerous ship owners and operators, UNIVERSAL also serves as a husbanding and protective agent for several clients. In cases where contractual obligations require port agency functions to be handled by another agent, UNIVERSAL is specifically appointed as the protective agent to ensure a smooth, cost-effective, and efficient port call.
We offer a full range of husbandry services, including but not limited to crew changes, clearance and delivery of spares, supply of high-quality ship stores, provisions, bunkers, cash-to-master (CTM) delivery, crew medical assistance and hospital visits, supervision of special surveys, waste disposal, and more.

Crew Handling / Recruiting
UNIVERSAL provides dedicated crew handling services to ensure smooth crew changes, both in-port and off-port, aligned with the vessel’s schedule. Our 24/7 team facilitates OKTB guarantees for joiners, meet-and-greet on arrival, and safe transfers to and from the vessel, ensuring timely repatriation without hotel stays. If needed, we arrange hotel accommodation, transport services, and air ticketing through reputable airlines.
We are also licensed to provide trained and experienced Pakistani seafarers, including officers, engineers, and ratings, in compliance with STCW 95, with expertise across various ship types such as oil, gas, chemical, and container carriers.

We arrange and coordinate the supply of ship stores and provisions at our ports through quality-approved suppliers, ensuring a reliable inventory of dry and fresh provisions. Additionally, we provide tank-hold cleaning materials, engine-deck stores, and more, all at competitive prices. Bunker supplies, including fuel, diesel, and lube oils, can also be sourced competitively with prior notice. We work closely with local suppliers who represent international bunker traders to ensure seamless delivery.

To assist ship masters and owners at Pakistani ports, UNIVERSAL, through its port-approved contractors, offers waste management services for the disposal of oily sludge, bilge water, slops, and garbage, fully adhering to Marpol 73/78 guidelines. Additionally, we provide shore gangs for hold and hatch cleaning, as well as the removal of fumigation remnants, outdated or off-spec stores, empty drums, expired medicines, and more.

Our agency is also equipped to handle MediEvac services for vessels stationed or anchored offshore, ensuring rapid response times for transporting casualties to the hospital.

We have established arrangements with banks to process Cash to Master (CTM) for vessel owners and managers in the shortest possible time. This enables us to facilitate safe delivery onboard, ensuring prior arrangements are made according to the specified denomination.
